Lunch at Ichiban-sushi

My wisdom teeth hasn't been treating me very nice since my birthday.
Suffering from what seemed to be endless pain associated with my swollen gum and cheek, coupled with locked jaws so I couldn't have my mouth wide open....sad sad.....
It made me had no mood whatsoever to eat anything!

The food that I was dying to have once my gum infection was healed (still not totally but I can't stand it anymore :P), and can open my mouth properly, is sushi....my all time favourite comfort food.

Pay day = good mood = let's celebrate with sushi
Experiment failed = bad mood = comfort with sushi
Feeling miserable for no reason = cheer me up with sushi
Got a job offer = happy = get drunk by sushi

You get the idea.
Anyway, I am still very new to Singapore, and am still searching for a decent place to satisfy my forever craving of sushi, and of course, not to put too much holes in Martin's wallet at the same time.

Ichiban sushi has chain stores in a few different places throughout Singapore.  For the quality of their sushi provide the price is reasonable.  Of course, coming from Australia I am totally spoilt with fresh seafood, and of course, you cannot expect the exact same quality of what you can in Australia.
But their sushi is innovative in taste, my favourite so far is the aburi tuna nigiri and soft-shell crab handroll (no photo for this one, too busy eating).  The dessert is quite impressive too.

I filled my tummy with all the sushi I can eat and left the restaurant in a happy happy mood :D:D:D:D:D

Salmon roe sushi

Octopus sushi (Paul?!)

Raw salmon with chesse, quite a nice combination

Slightly grilled tuna nigiri, my favourite so far.  The taste blends very well.
